legal defence against persecution and discrimination

lawyer with professional experience of 27 years,
solid research background, expert experience and teaching portfolio
The core of my legal practice lies in the protection of human rights against various persecutions and discrimination, inter alia, on political, racial, ethnic, national, religious, social, public, economic and other motives.
My legal services encompass issues on granting asylum in Latvia and in other member states of the European Union, including refugee status, alternative status and political asylum. Furthermore, I promote interests of victims of persecution at international judicial and human rights institutions (Human Rights Committee and UN Special Rapporteurs, European Court of Human Rights etc.), ensure legal defence against unlawful requests for extraditions and unlawful international search by INTERPOL. Moreover, my specialization includes the defence of rights of foreign investors against various forms of expropriation (nationalization) of investments and other violations of their rights on the part of sovereign states, international commercial arbitration inclusive.
Twenty-seven year experience in the legal practice, vast law and human-rights practices, considerably experience in my specialization, a large amount of won cases and high success rate in the results of services provided by me, as well as highly qualified partners and advisors in various jurisdictions enable me to provide legal services in the most complicated and non-standard situations. In light of understanding of the specificity of authoritarian regimes and applied by them quasi – legal methods of persecution in each particular situation an exclusive strategy of defence with application of individual tooling is elaborated by adhering to absolute confidentiality.
